For years, I sought the approval of others. And I must admit, at times I still desire for everyone to like me, not be mad at me, just love me for me, and the list goes on and on…. For a long while, I was lost and confused by my idea of what love is.
Now some years later, I recognize it is time and OK to LOVE ME! The quirky, sometimes grouchy, strong-willed, loving, caring, over the top ME!
Why??? Because I was created by “my Daddy”! YES, He knew exactly what He was doing when He created me.
A few days ago, I was fortunate to speak to an audience of over three hundred young girls aged 12 through 14 and pour love into their young lives by affirming, confirming and sharing with them how wonderful, beautiful, amazing, and ENOUGH they are!!! As I did, I realized those same words of affirmation penetrated my heart and soul and rang true for me as well.
So refreshing….
Now I am able to look in the mirror and truthfully say: “I loveeeeee me!”

As I continue to love me, I know His love will spill out, encourage, and shower love and acceptance to so many others.

I want to order a “BLT” for myself!!!!! I simply want to weep as I read this. Being a part of sharing with that audience on that day I agree we must began to love ourselves and share with others to reach in and see all God made for each of us to be and become..I can still see the eyes of some of the young girls.

This morning as I read your post, tears rolled down my face. BLT spoke to me! It gave me a glimpse of the past and future. It truly was God speaking thru you to me and so many others.
Living for the approval of others and not for yourself is a thing of the past starting NOW!
“BLT” is ringing inside of me forever more.
